Hi, I'm Matt, or Allister (if you prefer since Allister is my online nickname lol). I first got into virtual photography in June 2024 and back then I was really just taking random screenshots of things I thought looked cool. I did not have any real background in it but I quickly found myself wanting to make those shots look more like actual photos.
I spent a lot of time teaching myself the basics like how to work with lighting and find the right angles to tell a story in a single frame. It was a lot of trial and error but honestly that was the fun part of the journey. Along the way I met some amazing friends who share the same passion and they really helped me stay inspired and keep improving.
What started as a simple hobby turned into something much bigger and in just a year and a half I managed to grow a community of over 20,000 followers on TikTok. I created Captured by Allister because I have realized that you can create something meaningful just by finding a moment you love and sharing it in your own way.
